Learning all the time

On Tuesday Yahaira learned how to make Chop Suey. It was delicious and then she made it again without Mi Kyeong there to help for dinner one night.

Daniel is always looking to develop his gross motor skills. He was pulling Mi Kyeong around on Tuesday. He is almost always throwing, kicking or  hitting at any given point in time.

Yahaira took it upon herself to start to teach Israella how to play the piano. She wrote out a staph with notes to play. THen she sat next to her and helped her play the correct keys. Love it!

Yahaira is also quite adept at eating with chopsticks now. She can use them to eat pretty much anything when we eat out (and at home as well).

Israella is learning how to adjust to a new culture. She is finally nice to Mi Kyeong, and isn't so rude when people talk to her. She will shyly says, "Kamsahamnida" (thank you) when people comment on how pretty she is, instead of turning up her nose and snubbing them. She is beginning to understand why people shouldn't conform to her language/culture, and instead why she (all of us foreigners) should try as best we can to speak Korean and understand the culture too.

Daniel is still as crazy and active as ever. He is *not* learning how to be gentle...at least not at the speed that I would like to see. He is expanding his English and Korean vocabularies and still loves to give big bear hugs and kisses:)
