Yahaira's 5k Color Run

Yesterday morning Yahaira and I ran in the 5k Color Fun Run. There were no timing chips: just go out, run and have fun getting blasted with color!

 It was cold and grey out, but that didn't stop the fun.

Yahaira ran the entire way. She stopped to roll around in the colors, and to drink some water at the turn around point, but she did not walk at all. I'm so proud of her. I even stopped once to walk a little since I was ahead of her.

So these guys behind her, in the picture below, passed her. She then started to sprint and passed all of them up again. She did not let them pass her again before finishing the race.

 Attack of some colors at the finish line!

 Yahaira finished the 5k in a time of 34 minutes and 54 seconds. I'm so proud of her for making it in under 35 minutes! She kicks butt; the course had many hills.
