This week we went up to Len Foote Hike Inn for my 28th birthday. It is in northern Georgia. The hike starts in Amicalola Falls State Park.
We made the 4.8 mile hike up to the hotel on Tuesday afternoon.
It was the coldest day of the year, just for us. Yippey:)
Yahaira was a super hiker. we were holding her back. Baby Daniel was snug on my chest, sleeping most of the way. Israella was freezing her butt off in the hiking backpack. 1.5 miles into the hike Daniel and I switched out. I spent awhile cuddling her, warming her up and then carrying her in my arms before putting her in the pack for another stretch on the trail. I carried her for awhile and then Daniel took her for the last mile, to get into warmth asap.
We enjoyed hearty family style dinners and breakfasts, all included in the stay.
The rooms are small and basic, but cozy. You can even do some gymnastics there if you get the urge.
Good golly you're OLD! :) I'm glad you all had fun, can't wait to see you all in a month!
ReplyDeleteI know! That must make you ancient though. We had a lot of fun...though it would have been even better had it been super warm out (like the week before or this week...typical we get the cold week in between). See you in March!
