Happy 6th Birthday Yahaira!

On Tuesday we celebrated Yahaira's 6th birthday. She is growing up so fast. She wanted to go out to lunch and eat some Mexican food.

 She got to wear the fancy sombrero and have the staff sing to her in Spanish.

Miss Yahaira's favorite things:

color: pink (that's her 1st favorite color...she has 5 you know)

friend: God and then her little brother

number: 7

activity: riding her bike (but sewing is right up there too)

She is a very observant young lady. She's listening to everything you say, even when you think she's not. She is able to go tearing around the neighborhood on her fancy 2 wheeler. She has a new found love of using the sewing machine. She just opened her own savings account at a local bank. Se went down there and did the talking herself. She still doesn't want to be told to practice her reading, but if you just leave her to herself she reads a little on her own. She is great at math and learning the workings of our currency (how much things cost and how much change to expect, etc). She's still doing piano and gymnastics weekly.

I am so blessed to have spent the last 6 years cuddling, watching, playing with and learning from my daughter. I look forward to many many more of the same.
