Child's play

Yesterday I was reminded of how wonderful it feels to be a kid. I must admit that more times than not I find myself not wanting to partake in Yahaira and Israella's childish games. But that is who they are at this moment- CHILDREN! This weekend I was reminded of how short life is and how I should enjoy it and live to the fullest each moment.

So that said, I have to remind myself constantly to engage on my girls' level of play. Yesterday we played duck-duck-grey duck (duck-duck-goose for those of you who didn't grow up in my neck of the woods), tag, princess tag (tag without a safety spot, instead you sit down and name a princess to be on safety), big blue bush and apple picking (2 games Yahaira made up). It's not easy to run around the yard at 32 weeks pregnant, but the memories that it engraves into my daughters' memories is worth it! I want them to look back on their childhood and remember how their mom and dad took the time to play with them, to be silly with them, to enjoy them for who they are, to bask in their presence and to show them the love of Christ.
