Living Room Transformation

(Second post for today)

We got new hardwood floors installed in the main living areas of the house (everywhere except bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen). They are beautiful. Dark hardwood with texture makes my heart go pitter-patter. Now, how long before we get our first scratch?

When we bought the house:

 I got to do some "demo" work...but it was really just ripping up the old carpet...though the small patch of wood by the front door was a pain-in-the-lower-back-give-my-hands-big-blisters to rip up...can anyone say extra glue?
