And a wake up

Moving sucks.

Being in transit sucks.

Moving across the country for 3 months and then moving across the ocean sucks.

Tomorrow is the big day. We are so ready to finally have a place to settle in to and call home. Living out of suitcases sucks. Carrying around all of this baggage (literally) sucks. We didn't ship our clothes back in May because we kind of needed our clothes while in Arizona for 3 months. We seem to acquire a lot of books no matter where we go. I shipped 8 flat rate boxes this morning, and 4 before we left Sierra Vista. All that and we still have 7 checked bags, 2 car seats and 1 carry on bag each (5 total).

We've got 2 flights tomorrow. Hopefully the 12 hour flight will go well. Please Yahwey, be merciful.

You know moving stresses you out when your 4 year old says, "Guys! Please stop arguing and just be nice!"

Even though this all seems like a bunch of negatives, we have been abundantly blessed during this move:

  • We were provided with a paid for 2 bedroom furnished apartment while in AZ. We could have been stuck in a hotel room for that time.
  • Daniel had a lot of free time during his course.
  • We got to explore a part of the country we would not have willingly chosen to vacation in.
  • We have learned to let go of things. Stuff weighs you down in more than one way.
  • Our house sold and we are now 100% debt free.
  • Even though we did not end up selling our cars, they have been handed off as a blessing to family while we are gone.
  • Daniel was able to take the CFI&I test, and have it put on his FAA license by a FSDO, at no cost to us.
  • Daniel was able to take the hard ATP test (and passed) before the deadline of July 31, at no cost to us.
  • The kids made 2 friends in the apartment complex while in AZ.
  • We know how we don't want to move next time around. No more stuff en route...just move first, then go...
  • We got to spend some time with family before leaving for 2 years.
  • Living in a small apartment makes a 1700 sq ft house feel like a mansion
I have pictures, but they are on my camera, and quite frankly, I don't have the energy to upload the to the computer and then onto the blog at the moment...

On to our Korean adventures....
