Hot like the desert

2 out of the 3 kids have been fevering since yesterday. We went to Carlsbad Caverns National Park yesterday. Little Daniel wasn't his normal self, and then when we got in the car after our trip Yahaira wasn't feeling well either. Upon taking their temperatures, they were both 103 degrees F. I got to play nurse all night long, but though they are still fevering at 101 degrees F this morning, each child has eaten a small amount of food.

The kids are going to get some medicine and then we will drive to at least El Paso, TX...though we hope to get a little further west. Upon leaving Carlsbad, NM there will be nothing until El Paso. I got close to a tank light on our drive out here yesterday...and there was absolutely nothing in the barren wasteland of oil-field-populated west Texas! God's merciful, because I got to a gas station and put in over 17 gallons....which I normally have a light at that time.
