Saturday we went to the Chili 5K race and cook off. Daniel ran it in just under 22:50. Yahaira and I ran the 1 mile fun run (which we think was more like 1.3-1.5 miles...because we did run more than 1/2 of the 2 mile loop on base).

On the home stretch
Yahaira and I went on a Mommy-Daughter date this afternoon. She got an adorable outfit, and we got our hair cut. I was really iffy when I saw the guy's getup and do, but Yahaira insisted that we get our hair cut at that particular place. I tried to convince her otherwise to no avail. So then I decided that I was just going to let her get her hair cut, and I would do it a different day. Her hair was already messed up from a bad cut and months of no trims; so I figured if her's was jacked up it really wouldn't matter too much...nice mom, I know. Well, though the guy looked like a 80's rock star, he really did know how to cut hair. It was like he was working on an art creation. So I was brave enough (after seeing Yahaira's hair) and got my hair cut and thinned.
After our date at the mall we went home and got ready for a fancy family date at the Olive Garden.
Here she is in her adorable new outfit:
Don't forget about this energetic one!
