The girls and I went to the National Frontier Trails Museum (in Independence, MO) with Grandma Kelly and cousin Isabella. It was all about the different pioneer trails that left from Independence and headed west: the Oregon, California and Santa Fe Trails. I found it to be very interesting. I could have spent all day in there reading all the plethora of information contained in there. I was glad that they had a few hands on things for the kids to do: load a scaled down wagon, build a linkin-log cabin, tour a general store.
We then went to a restored train depot and toured that.
Tonight we went for a swim at the local rec center down the road from Grandma and Grandpa's, after we baked and ate a birthday cake for Grandpa Ed. Now we are tired and off to bed.
