I just finished the sneakers for Yahaira...and of course they are too small for her feet. Oh well. I made them out of scrap yarn I had. I made a child's size small, but I do crochet tight. I tried to compensate by using a bigger size hook, but alas it didn't help much. Oh well, I guess that i can save them for the kid on the way. The project was really easy to do. I started to work on them last Friday evening, and then worked on them sporadically throughout the week. I think that I could get a pair done in a day or two if I worked on it for a few hours at a time.
A side view
Here is Yahaira being all grown up and reading me a Dora book. She got her own clothes and dressed herself this morning. She also wanted to wear her clip on earrings. They make her look like such a young lady, not an almost 3 year old. Time flies so fast! Some days she wants to be very independent and other days she still wants to be my baby. Today is an independent day. She is playing mommy and I am her baby.
Amanda, she looks like such a young lady now. I am really excited to see her again. We might drive up this summer and see you all. And of course you WILL be at my wedding in April, so I will see you then :)
ReplyDeleteI love you all!
