We took the girls to the playground Wednesday evening so they could round around before we went to pick Grandma Kelly up from the airport. Yahaira made a friend with a girl there and was playing with her. The girl was there with someone (mom maybe?) who was in a motorized wheelchair. While I went to the bathroom, Daniel overheard Yahaira have the following conversation:
Yahaira: Come lets run (to the little girl)! Chase us (to the lady in the wheelchair)!
Lady: I can't run. (She only had one leg)
Yahaira: Use your machine! (She said it in a very matter of fact way, almost as if the lady had the advantage over them).
Kids are unafraid to say exactly what they mean. They aren't afraid of offending people because they don't really understand what that is.
