Have you ever woke up from a dream and thought, "Oh no!" A dream that seemed so real. A dream so real that you weren't really sure if it had actually taken place. A dream that made you get a nasty taste in your mouth. A dream that showed you who you (in the flesh) really are. A dream that showed you who you were before Christ.
.
But now you are a new creature. You have been crucified with Christ. You are dead to sin. You have been raised in the newness of Christ. You have a new life. Yet there you are, awaking from a dream, one that you know really could have been a reality because you know what you (in the flesh) are capable of doing.
.
So what do you do? That's when you cry out to God for the strength to die daily to your flesh and to walk in the likeness of Christ. That's when you thank God for being shown that you haven't mastered this spiritual thing. That's when you pray for strength to fight the battle; it is a spiritual battle and Satan wants you to think you've lost. But we know that we are more than conquerors in Christ. Christ has already won. He's crushed death and rose again. So if He did it, then He can show me how to crucify my flesh and win the victory thru Him, and it's only through Christ that we defeat the flesh.

Well, that was me this morning, and I thought it might be an encouragement to someone else, so I got up and wrote this post.
