I Made a Quilt!

We got to go pick up some of the paint-your-own pottery we had done while my Dad and sister were visiting. Actually, the puppy is one that Yahaira and Daniel painted earlier, but I don't think that I ever posted a picture of it. We had a lot of fun, and my Dad even painted some too. He helped Yahaira paint the turtle. Yahaira also painted the Eskimo.

I think that Yahaira did great for being so young:)

So I made the quilt today (well, at least part of it). Here are some pictures of it. I still need to go to Joann Fabrics and get the batting. I also have to figure out how to bind the thing. I guess the quilted part is a little bit wider than my backing. Oh well:) The backing is going to be the same fabric as the 2 yellow squares. I was impressed that it took maybe an hour to sew the thing together (not including winding the bobbin). Not too shabby for a first time try at quilting if I do say so myself.
