My spurt of energy

So I got a spurt of energy and am now trying to finish up at least 1 (of the many) unfinished projects I have started. I bought a console table (or tiny desk...not sure what it's really called) at the thrift store MONTHS ago. I bought it with the intention of stripping, sanding and re-staining it, and then put some glass in the center top instead of the horribly wore MDF in the middle right now. Well, I did start to strip and sand it back in the beginning of July. It was time consuming AND I lost the diamond to my wedding ring from the 1.) stripping solution 2.) the vibration from the sander or 3.) a combination of both. Needless to say, after I had to buy a new diamond I didn't feel like working on the project. Yesterday I decided that I was going to finish the project SOON! So I changed the game plan...I am painting the darn thing instead. I primed it yesterday and bought the dark brown paint (dark granite by Olympic from Lowes). Yahaira and I painted the first coat this morning. We then ate our breakfast and are now waiting for it to dry so we can put the second coat on. I still need to get the glass for the top, but that I think I can do on Tuesday:) Sorry that I don't have any before pictures...I tried to take some yesterday, but my camera batteries are dead. I'll be sure to post the finished product soon! :)
